Khan said the reasons given by the federal government for postponement were insufficient.
He said the election commission will notify the government about the decision.
Earlier, the government had requested the ECP to reschedule the presidential election as several parliamentarians will be out of the country to perform Umra and many others would be observing Itikaf.

Kudos to the ECP for sticking to it's guns and the Constitution, if the Constitution prescribes certain time limit for Presidential elections then all the political parties should do what it says, there should be no exception for any one or any political party. Their negligence and lack of home work should not cause any delay. I wish a certain date should be fixed by the Parliament like they have in the US, so every one will know and would prepare themselves for it , no delaying tactics.
