ISLAMABAD:

President Hamid Karzai on Sunday accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan but stressed that the fight against terrorism and peace process should be part of his discussion during his visit.

Sartaj Aziz handed over a formal invitation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to President Karzai to visit Islamabad, President Palace said in a statement late Sunday. “The president thanked [the adviser] and in principle accepted the invitation,” it added.

“However the president insisted that a high-level delegation will visit Pakistan after an effective fight against terrorism and peace process are included in the agenda of the visit,” according to the statement.
