Raid on a tip-off: Police arrest two alleged criminals

The police arrested Sardar Chachar and Alif Chachar, and took away two motorcycles and 40 buffaloes, cows and goats.

SUKKUR: Two suspects were arrested and 40 animals were taken away by the police in a raid at Nebaho Mahar village, Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki district on Sunday. According to reports, a heavy contingent of police led by Andal Sundarani police station’s SHO Abdul Hameed Shaikh raided and cordoned off Nebaho Mahar village and conducted a house-to-house search. The police arrested two suspects, Sardar Chachar and Alif Chachar, and took away two motorcycles and 40 buffaloes, cows and goats. The SHO said that the raid on the village was conducted on a tip-off that two hardened criminals, Rehman Chachar and Suleman Chachar, were hiding in that village. He claimed that the suspects were arrested on their alleged connections with criminals and motorcycle and cattle heads were taken away to pressure the villagers to hand over the criminals.
