KARACHI: Elders of the Kutchi community alleged that the Sindh government was responsible for the law and order situation in Lyari. They accused the provincial government of patronising criminals who were killing common citizens, while addressing a press conference on the issue of displacement of Kutchi families from Lyari on Saturday. “There are two major issues we are facing right now – the role of the government regarding the law and order situation and the issue of displaced persons who are in a miserable condition,” said Akhtar Kutchi. “If no one can provide us security then we’ll make our own security arrangements,” he warned. He also said that nationalist parties had ensured security to Kutchi communities. The Kutchi Rabita Committee has set up an emergency cell and announced that all families who moved to interior Sindh will be rehabilitated within the next 15 days.
