The strikes also reportedly destroyed a number of hideouts of militants in the area.
The strikes and the damage they caused could not be immediately independently verified.
Earlier in the week, six militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Islam were killed when two Pakistan Air Force jet fighters pounded militant hideouts in the Kharmatang and Akka Khel area.
The strikes also razed two hideouts to the ground.
Continuous military operations in the area have forced its residents to seek temporary refuge elsewhere.

As an individual who does not adhere to the Muslim religion, it seems to me that on the Islamic holy day of Friday during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Muslim ought not to be killing Muslim.
There wont be any need for drones if Pakistan Government shows its resolve to take care of the terrorists on its soil. This is a good step forward by Paakistan army. However, people have to be behind their Government and army , otherwise all efforts will fail
GOOD! Kill the Taliban!!
@SKChadda, there is something called sovereignity of country.
These fighter planes used to do collateral damage like drones. But most of pakistani's complain only when US do and keeps silent and support when there own fighter jets do same. What a double standard and biased thinking !
But of course no "innocent" women and children killed or maimed in this operation due to newly developed super secret "Halal" munitions used by the army that cannot possibly let a Muslim harm an "innocent"!!!
How these strikes are different from Drone strikes when they are causing more collateral damage and IDPs.
Bravo Salute to Pak Army!!!Sheer Dil!!!!
Go PAK Airforce Go
