Pakistan cueists to train in China
PBSA chief Sheikh ‘impressed’ with facilities in country.

Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) President Alamgir Sheikh, who accompanied the team at the IBSF World U21 Championship, has reached an agreement with his Chinese counterparts that will see four of the country’s cueists train in the neighbouring country.
The move comes after the PBSA, which has been actively trying to send players for coaching clinics, felt that foreign training would help improve the game of the Pakistan cueists. Mohammad Asif was crowned the IBSF world champion and then won the Asian 6-Red event. Impressive performances have also been shown by Asian U21 runner-up Mohammad Majid, Humza Akbar and Amir Tariq.
“We’ve agreed to a proposal to send four players to China for a month-long training camp,” Sheikh told The Express Tribune. “I’m grateful to our Chinese counterparts who have agreed to the proposal.”
