Jacobabad police raided a house in Jan Mohammad Colony, located in the remits of Saddar Police Station and rescued four women and a young girl, who had been kidnapped from different cities, on Tuesday.

Shahnawaz Mallah, a resident of Tando Allahyar, had filed an application in the Jacobabad district and sessions court alleging that his relative, Saeeda, wife of Muhammad Ashraf Mallah, had been kidnapped and was being illegally detained in a house in Jan Mohammad Colony.

The court, after hearing the application, ordered the police raid the house and rescue the kidnapped woman. When the police raided the house, which allegedly belonged to Ali Khan Mastoi, they discovered that there were actually four women and a minor girl who were being kept in illegal detention. The police arrested the suspect, Ali Khan Mastoi, and rescued all four women.


The names of the rescued women are Saeeda, wife of Muhammad Ashraf Mallah, resident of Tando Allahyar, Mehar Bibi, daughter of Abdul Hakeem Shah, resident of Kotri, Zebo, wife of Mohammad Siddiq Solangi, resident of Hyderabad, and Nasreen, wife of Sikandar Ali and her six year old daughter, residents of Bhit Shah.

The police claimed that the accused, Ali Khan Mastoi, was a member of a gang that kidnapped women from different parts of Sindh and sold them to people in Balochistan and other parts of the country. The rescued women evaded the questions from the media. Mehar Bibi said, however, that she had been intoxicated and kidnapped. She revealed that the kidnappers had initially kept them in Sehwan, then taken them to Larkana and finally to    Jacobabad.
