Intelligence agencies have warned of a possible terrorist attack on the daughter of former Pakistani president, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, in Karachi.
According to an advisory issued by the Sindh home department, intelligence agencies have warned that terrorist organisations have prepared a plan to target Pervez Musharraf’s daughter who lives in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority. Following the threats, the provincial home department has requested Rangers and the police to provide fool-proof security for Ayla Musharraf.
The security has been beefed up at the residence of Ayla Musharraf following the provincial home department’s request, it was reported.
According to sources, about 35 Rangers and police personnel will be deployed at her residence.
On the other hand, the Clifton division SP Sarfaraz Nawaz declined having knowledge about any threats to Ayla Musharraf. “We have not received any recommendations for her security,” he told The Express Tribune. “She would be provided security after we receive a written letter from the government,” he said.

Musharraf is the leader Pakistan rarely produced. He did everything for the better interest of the country. If he is a dictator, I love dictatorship.
@romy: To you he may be a dictator, to many of us Musharraf is former President, Ex-Army Chief who served the country with distinction. He is an honest man, who had the courage to deal with terrorism. One of my Canadian friends said if the terrorists and religious fanatics are after Musharraf's blood then he must have done things right. How true! As for the protection of Lyari and Balochistan - I say bring back Musharraf because in his time we hardly had any such problems. He will deal with the trouble makers with an iron fist.
that must i say. for a dictators daughter 35 rangers and police personel from our tax Money offcourse. And for our security hardly one police officer for 10000 people. if they deploy that kind of personel in lyari with sincere people dont you think you can stop the killings over there. Just saw a news today were women, children, elders were leaving because no security have been given to these poor , innocent people. What is happeníng with this country?.
