Online fir registration: Nathiagali police arrest first suspect

In a quick follow up response, Nathiagali Police arrested the first suspect accused in an FIR registered online.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, complainant Qaiser Ali, presently residing in MA Johar Town, Lahore filed a case online nominating Aftab as the accused. After the arrest, relatives of Aftab called the complainant in Lahore to apologise for the former’s crime. Consequently, Ali forgave the accused and requested the police to drop the charges. The nature of the offence, however, was not revealed. According to the handout, online FIR registration is receiving a tremendous response from the public.
