QUETTA:

The Anti Terrorism Court Quetta on Monday issued orders that the nominated accused former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf be produced in court in the Nawab Akbar Bugti assassination case.

The court headed by Justice Muhammad Ismail also rejected an investigation report about the former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and former DCO Dera Bugti Samad Lasi and ordered to produce the reports in the next hearing.

The court was adjourned till July 30. The Balochistan High Court heard the petition lodged by Advocate Ilyas Siddqui on behalf of the former president regarding the rejection of his bail petition.

Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal and Justice Naeem Afghan heard the petition. However, due to the absence of Advocate General Balochistan, the court was adjourned until July 22.

Pervez Musharraf has been accused of orchestrating murder of Bugti, the chief of his Bugti tribe, who was killed in a military operation in Balochistan in2006 when Pervez Musharaf was the army chief and President of the country at the same time.
