Charsadda accident: FC official killed, 22 others injured

The driver of the FC truck told police he was trying to prevent the vehicle from hitting a motorcyclist.

A Frontier Constabulary (FC) official was killed while 22 others were injured when their truck overturned and fell in a roadside ditch in Khan Mahi, Charsadda district on Sunday.


According to Charsadda police official Ifzal Khan, they received a report of an accident in Chamyaran at around 5pm. He added a heavy contingent of police rushed to the site and began rescue work.

Khan said the driver of the FC truck told police he was trying to prevent the vehicle from hitting a motorcyclist when he lost control and the truck fell into a ditch.

“Many passengers were severely injured and were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital by the locals. However, FC official, Amirullah Khan succumbed to his injuries on the way to District Headquarters Hospital,” Khan added.
