Sindh’s newly appointed Minster for Health Syed Owais Muzaffar on Friday visited Aga Khan University Hospital to see Sindh High Court senior judge Justice Maqbool Baqar, who had sustained serious injuries in a bomb attack on June 26.
The minister inquired after his health and assured that the provincial government had decided to provide him with a bullet-proof car.
Owais expressed his extreme dissatisfaction at the existing security arrangement at the hospital and contacting the Sindh inspector general police via telephone instructed him on the spot to depute a special unit for the protection of the convalescing judge.
The minister inquired also about the judge’s condition from the hospital staff. He assured Justice Maqbool’s family that the culprits behind the attack would soon be brought to justice.
