ISLAMABAD: The Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik and the Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan met for the second time in two weeks to discuss the security situation in Balochistan.
The meeting at the Interior Ministry in Islamabad followed the one early in July when Nisar had visited Quetta along with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Nisar assured Malik of the government’s complete support to the provincial government in combating terrorism.
The interior minister said that conditions in Balochistan were critical and required all political forces in the province to work together to pull the province out of its current situation.
Malik welcomed the construction of an economic corridor from Gwadar to Kashghar. He expressed confidence that it would usher in a new era of development in the province.
The Balochistan chief minister further added that the provincial government was trying its best to develop dialogue and build consensus among all political forces to find an end to Balochistan’s predicament.
