Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal was the star as he claimed five for 37 to help his side clinch a seven-run victory against Guyana in a practice match at Bourda, ahead of the series against the West Indies, according to ESPNcricinfo.

The wily spinner helped Pakistan defend their total of 246 as he took the crucial wickets of Narsingh Deonarine and Leon Johnson, while claiming two more in the 40th over. Earlier, Guyana won the toss and elected to field.

Opener Ahmed Shehzad (68) gave Pakistan a sound start with all-rounder Shahid Afridi chipping in with a useful 31 towards the end.
