Upon registration, a pass code should be sent to that mobile number. Person should be asked to enter pass code.

DUBAI: This is a very positive step. A simple solution to the problem of dealing with false complaints is that the person filing the FIR should be asked for his or her mobile number. Then, upon registration, a pass code should be sent to that mobile number. The person should be asked to enter the pass code they received. If the pass code is validated at the website, then the FIR gets registered on the system. Otherwise, it gets discarded. This way, the police can get rid of the problem of dealing with fake FIRs.
