KALAR KAHAR: At least ten people have killed and twelve injured in an accident when a private bus travelling on the motorway near the Salt Range flipped during its last turn of the journey, reported Express News on Friday.

Nearly 35 passengers were on-board at the time of the accident.

A risky turn and a lack of control on the bus by the driver was said to be a probable cause of the accident.

Rescue teams and ambulances soon reached the site of the accident and shifted injured victims to the district headquarter hospital in Chakwal.

Motorway police officials confirmed the number of causalities.

The accident resulted in heavy traffic on both sides of the motorway as rescue work was being carried out.
