Police arrest suspects in IG Islamabad daughter-in-law's murder case

PESHAWAR: Police on Thursday arrested two suspects in the murder case of Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Bani Amin’s daughter-in-law, Express News reported.

The arrested suspects are deceased Wahida’s brother and sister-in-law.

Wahida was found murdered in Peshawar on May 19.

The post-mortem report mentioned suffocation as the cause of death.

The deceased’s mother Zahida accused her husband and son of killing her daughter. She also accused the IG Islamabad of damaging the case.

Zahida had nominated Wahida’s father Darya Khan, brother Khalid Rehman and sister-in-law Fauzia in the FIR.

Police today arrested Khalid and Fauzia.

Aftab Kenneth Wilson | 11 years ago | Reply It is certainly an insiders job. Timely action taken by CJ of SC and also some remarks during the hearing of this case shows foul play by someone on a higher post. Anyhow this is an high profile murder.
