Multan festival: Young artisans to display work

MULTAN: As many as 80 stalls will be set up at a three-day festival for young entrepreneurs organised by the National Productivity Organisation (NPO) in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) here during the last week of August.

NPO Assistant Manager Ali Ahsan said on Wednesday 50 per cent of the stalls would be allocated to youths [below 29] from Multan, Muzaffargarh, Lodhran and Bahawalpur districts. He said 20 stalls had been fixed for each district.

“Musical nights will be held and young artisans will display their handicrafts. We have invited nominations by July 16 from interested entrepreneurs,” he said.

The assistant manager said NPO had sought permission from the local administration to hold the event. He said the entrepreneurs would not need to pay for the stalls.

“Their lodging, registration and pick and drop will also be taken care of by NPO,” he said.

“The festival aims to provide entertainment to families and promote handcrafts made by young entrepreneurs,” he added.
