No one in the board will be able to do anything illegal or unconstitutional, he said while addressing the media in Lahore.
"We will bring all board matters to the forefront for public viewing," assured Sethi.
"Everything continues like the way before until the court makes a ruling," said Sethi, adding that he does not want to take any steps that can be challenged as unconstitutional later on.
Earlier, the Sindh High Court had directed Sethi to exercise powers as defined in PCB governing body's constitution for caretaker chief, after a petition filed at the court said he was acting beyond the powers vested in him.
The interim chairperson said, "My main focus is to tighten the budget, so that expenditures are reduced akin to the austerity measures that are being adopted across the country."
"We are going to carry out an exercise that will aim to identify who is working with the board and how," said Sethi, adding that for that to happen he needs approval from the board and the court.
He announced that he will hold another board meeting after he returns from his West Indies tour.
The board members have expressed confidence in me, he added.

Sethi saab, how 'legal' and 'constitutional' are your intents here as an interim (an award as substitute for doing a good job as another caretaker!) chairman of PCB? Your plans certainly contradict the rules here and you seem acting beyond the powers given to anyone in your situation. Don't you think that you ought to be obeying the directions the Sindh High Court and limit yourself according to boundries laid in the constitution for a caretaker, any caretaker, by the governing body of the PCB. Best thing that you can do for this period is plan and enjoy the paid holidays like West Indies tour etc. while worry about the nation and its auteriety programmes.
Cricket board chairperson is a very key post. It seems that Sethi has definitely helped PML-N in elections when he was a punjab governor and thus PML-N offered him this post in reward.
