KOHAT: District government has imposed Section 144 on display of weapons and aerial firing in Ramazan. The  statement came from DCO Saadat Hassan’s office on Tuesday, stating any person found guilty would be charged under Section 188. The decision was taken to reduce untoward incidents during Ramazan. Meanwhile, a high-intensity bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad (BDS) in Ghulam Bhanda area on Tuesday. DPO Dilawar Bangash said he was informed around 5.30pm about a suspected bomb so he dispatched police and BDS officials to the area. The area was sealed and after struggling over an hour, the explosives were defused. BDS officials informed the bomb weighed 10 kilogrammes and was planted by the roadside to target the convoy of police and security forces. The explosives were attached to iron shrapnel to cause more destruction.
