KARACHI:

The Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) confirmed their participation in the Asian Men’s Junior Championship yesterday. Pakistan will send the team to Thailand later this year for the championship where they will compete with 11 other countries in Bangkok.

The tournament will also serve as qualifiers for the World Men’s Junior Championship. An official said the federation will shortlist the players in September for their only international tournament this year. He added that Pakistan also received an invitation for the Asian Women Championship in Taiwan but the SFP will be unable to send the team due to a lack of funds.
