PESHAWAR:

The police anti-terrorist squad (ATS), with the help of intelligence agencies, raided the house of notorious criminal Bostany and arrested his two sons in Lahori – both suspected to have ties with militants.

ATS commandoes and intelligence personnel surrounded the area Sunday evening and raided Bostany’s residence. His sons Mir Aslam and Ibrahim were arrested and shifted to an undisclosed location.

An official requesting anonymity said, the house was raided after information was received regarding links the two sons had with militants. They are also said to be involved in incidents of terrorism in the district. “In the past one month several bomb blasts took place in the city, Gulbahar police station was also attacked and several grenade attacks on police occurred. We had information these criminals were assisting terrorists in all these attacks,” he said.
