Revamping FIA
Khan says an effective system of rewards and punishments would be put in place to boost the morale of law enforcement personnel, Radio Pakistan reported.
Khan said on Saturday that the government intends to revamp the FIA by removing all controversial officials and bringing in those with integrity and a clean track record.
Chairing separate meetings to review the performance and functions of the FIA and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Islamabad on Saturday, he said that the rules of the FIA would also be revamped to give it more power against corrupt officers.
Khan directed that a procedure should be adopted to ensure a merit-based selection and induction procedure to ensure the better functioning of the FIA, and that a committee would soon be constituted for this purpose.
He said that political interference would not be tolerated in matters of transfers and postings within the Ministry of Interior and its attached departments.
Briefing the minister about the performance of the FIA, Director General FIA Saud Mirza said that only 36 out of a total of 52 police stations under the FIA were functional due to a lack of personnel.
Khan said that anti-money laundering units would be established in all parts of the country to check money laundering and hundi.

He informed the minister that NADRA had finished its biometric registration of 96% adult men and 86% adult women in the country.

Ch Nisar, how about trial of the PML(N) leadership in Supreme Court storming case by the PCO Judges...??
Ch. Nisar leave Musharraf and don't waste precious money and time on Musharraf's cases because in Musharraf's cases you will find nothing and pay your attentions on the other issues Pakistan is facing, for instance, terrorism, bomb blasts, internal insecurity, killings of the innocent people in Karachi and Quetta, improvement of ill and diseased Pakistan's economy and most especially importantly severe and the most worst electricity load shedding which is harming Pakistan's economy in the most ever worst form.....
Almost all of pmlns actions after coming to power are appreciable except pursuing Musharraf.
There is a lot of improvement required in FIA and at NADRA, but improvement cannot come until and unless corrupt officials are sacked from their jobs.
New vacancies should be announced at every level and people who have intrigity and honesty should only be hired.
We have a lot of talent in Pakistan, but unfortunately it has not been explored as yet.
When people can get jobs after paying huge amount of money, why would they be working with honesty and dedication in the land of pure - which is called Pakistan?
