Tax Issue Resolved: NATO equipment resumes exit journey

The entry of Nato’s military equipment had been stopped due to taxation issues.

CHAMAN:
Trucks carrying equipment of withdrawing Nato forces resumed their journey from Afghanistan to ports in Karachi after two weeks of suspension. Levies force and armed guards of the transport company were escorting the 17 trucks loaded with armoured personnel carriers and mine sweepers from Chaman border to Quetta. Customs official in Chaman said the entry of Nato’s military equipment had been stopped due to taxation issues. With the resumption of the movement, more Nato equipment is likely to enter Pakistan in coming days, he said.
