Protest Campaign: BNP-M calls strike on July 4

Against the action of security forces and its alleged death squads in Wadh area.

QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) will observe a strike in Balochistan on July 4 to protest against the action of security forces and its alleged death squads in Wadh area, the hometown of BNP-M chief and former chief minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

The party’s Senior Vice President, Dr Jahanzeb Jamaldini, also announced that his party will observe a complete strike on national highways across the province on July 5.

He made these announcements during a protest demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club on Tuesday.

Dozens of BNP-M workers assembled outside the press club and chanted slogans against security forces for their alleged involvement in disturbing the law and order situation in the province.

He said security forces have been raiding the houses of party leaders for the past couple of days in order to harass them.
