PESHAWAR: The family of a Zain Khan, who has been missing for over five months, has asked the chief justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) to mobilise authorities for his safe recovery.

Zain’s mother, Jamsheda Bibi, held a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Monday saying her son has been missing since January 27 and his family had not received any information about his well-being.

“Five months have passed since my son went missing, however, no steps have been taken to provide us with justice,” said Jamsheda. She claimed her family had no enmity with anyone.

“Zain had just come out from Central Jail Peshawar after completing his jail term when someone forced him into a vehicle and drove off,” she alleged. “We want justice. If Zain has committed a crime then present him in a court of law,” added Jamsheda. She requested the PHC chief justice to take notice and help them in finding her missing son.

“He was the only source of income for our and his own family. We do not have enough money to file petitions in courts,” said Zain’s father Izat Khan.

Zain’s wife and five children, three daughters and two sons, were also present on the occasion.
