Two policemen gunned down in Peshawar
Constable Osman and Constable Subhanullah were on duty on Ring Road when terrorists attacked them.
Two police constables were gunned down at Ring Road in the Pishtakhara police station jurisdiction on Monday afternoon.
Police said that members of the special police forces Constable Osman and Constable Subhanullah were on duty on Ring Road when terrorists riding a motorcycle attacked them.
Both died on the spot, and the attackers also took their AK-47 rifles after the attack.
A large number of police personnel were sent to the area in a search operation but the perpetrators managed to escape.
“We are conducting a search operation in the area after two of our constables were killed by the terrorists,” said an official of the local police station.
He said that the terrorists had increased their activities in the adjacent tribal belt as well as in the Peshawar district in the recent past and were frequently attacking law enforcement agencies as well as security forces.
