ISLAMABAD: Load-shedding is making life intolerable for patients and doctors at hospitals, forcing delays in laboratory tests and other medical facilities.

Patients are facing problems at civil and private hospitals due to prolonged load-shedding and absence of generators. Patients’ attendants at different public and private hospitals complained that the hospital administration and patients are facing great difficulties in conducting general tests and X-rays because of load-shedding. They said that CT scan facilities also remain suspended, affecting the treatment process of patients as these are peak times for patients that arrive here from far-flung areas.
