Earlier in June, 10 year-old Jameel while working for Hina, a house wife, was asked to bring a jug of milk. But when Jameel lost his grip on the jug, Hina then allegedly picked up a big piece of the broken jug and started to beat him on his head. The beating allegedly caused critical injuries to Jameel who soon perished as a result.
With the apparent deed done, Kareem Baksh, the personal secretary of Hina's husband, was asked to force Jameel’s father, Abdul Hameed, to bury the dead body as early as possible.
All Hameed was told that Jameel was severely ill and died due to the ongoing wave of measles and that he had been provided with all the necessary medication, but in vain. Though he later said that his son's body was covered with cuts and bruises.
The alleged plan almost worked.
What Hina and Baksh failed to take in to account was Javed, Jameel’s eight year-old brother, who saw the horrific crime, and the subsequent cover-up unfold.
Javed worked as a domestic helper in the same house as his elder brother. Two weeks after his brother had been killed, Javed managed to escape and told his father the truth behind Jameel's death.
The young boy told The Express Tribune that he had been hiding behind the door and had seen his brother bleeding and lying unconscious on the ground.
According to Javed, his brother's dead body remained in the house for two days, covered with ants and other insects and no one was allowed to enter that particular room.
Hearing his son's tale, Hameed father filed for an FIR at the Shah Rukn-e-Alam police station in Multan.
However, by the time the application had been filed, Hina and her husband Faheem Bukhari had already escaped. The police though managed to arrest Baksh.
Baksh corroborated Javed's tale during interrogation.
City Police Officer Multan Ghulam Muhammad Dogar told The Express Tribune that they had also arrested Zohaib Gilani, the owner of the residence and were conducting raids to arrest the criminals.
The police have also sealed Jameel's of grave to prevent tampering of the dead body.
The police has also received permission from the area magistrate to dig up the body for an autopsy.

@Shaami But the child was from Rahim Yar Khan and I am sure that RYK is in Punjab. You are right that child domestic labour is used across Pakistan however, since most of cases are reported in Punjab and child labour is now a provincial subject after 18th constitutional amendment therefore I requested CM Punjab for action.

As sad as this story is unfortunately it is not uncommon. Child labor is alive and well in our country without any regulation or laws. The woman (no matter who she is) must be brought to justice. It is a case of murder in rage and let us not politicize it. She acted in her arrogance and rage. She did the crime now she should do the time till the final verdict.
A ten year old is a child not an adolescent.

When there are so many cases of child domestic servants are tortured and killed, then why have these people not brought to justice? Because its the high elite who have such child slaves working in their houses. All these crimes are then brushed under the carpet.
@Arshad Mahmood: Islamabad is not in Punjab for your kind Information. Also these case happened everywhere but since they are mostly reported in Punjab while in Sindh, Balochistan and in KPK they are never reported so they are not mentioned.
Horrible! A terrible crime against an innocent child. The police must find the culprits and subject them to the rigors of law. If found guilty, they should be given maximum punishment permitted by law. If it is true that the culprit is related to former P.M. Gilani, then I condemn E.T for suppressing this fact. Such is the ruling class of Pakistan today as it has been for last 60 odd years ! Nothing has changed except they have Bombs and no electricity, education, development or any form of healthcare and very shady judiciary too !!!! Well done ! I hope the media keeps plugging away at this just as they did for the Jatoi case in Karachi because if left to our law enforcers and the judicial system even a crime as heinous as this will some how get lost with time and foot dragging.

A woman killed a poor boy for a jug of milk and then lied to cover up the crime. This husband and wife deserve life in prison and all their property should be given to boys family. Both husband and wife should be assigned to cleaning jobs in the jail.

Jamil's cruel torture to death of a child domestic worker is not the first case in Pakistan. Approximately 42 cases of violance against child domestic workers were reported in media since Shazia Masih's torture to death in January 2010 in Lahore. Jamil is 20th child domestic worker tortured to death and majority of these cases have been reported in Punjab.
If someone has any doubts, please google Shazia Masih (Lahore), Yasmin (OKara), Shehzad (Gujranwala) Tehmina (Islamabad) to name a few. All these cases show that child domestic labour is one of the deadliest form of child labour in Pakistan. However, the federal and provincial governments in Pakistan have failed to respond to the situation. I'll request Chief Minister Punjab to take a proactive action and immediately ban child domestic labour under the schedule of banned occupations of the Punjab Employment of Children (Amendment) Act 2012. I understand that policing may not be an effective way to respond to the situation however, banning child domestic labour can be a good deterance particularly for parliamentarians and government servants.
For resolving the issue of child labour on sustainable basis in Pakistan, the federal and provincial governments should make serious efforst to implement Article 25-A of the Constitution of Pakistan about right to free and compulsory education for children 5 to 16. The Government of Punjab should immediately enact the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Bill and make sufficient budgetary allocation for the implementation of the law.
First shame on ET for not mentioning the relationship with ex prime minister Mr Gilani Second. This couple must be hanged in public and all their assets confiscated and be given to the family whose child is murdered. Period. To find this couple first look into the house of Mr Gillani.

Cruel Act
I dont have words to name that type of crime. But as a mother of two young and innocent angels, I would simply ask the same type of punishment for those two so-called humans what they felt right for an angel of 10 years. A shame for humanity.my heart sinks with the fate of that innocent soul.May GOD protect all these innocent souls from these type of creatures.
These criminals have shown no mercy to a kid or even to the dead body needs public hanging.
ET forgot to add that Hina Gilani is also niece of ex-PM Y.R. Gilani. Instead of being a beacon of virtue, she is an example of everything that is wrong with Pakistan. How the Gilani family cried on TV for their kidnapped son and how they treat minor servants. They are more human and have more rights than the poor people they employ. This woman should be awarded capital punishment.
