The name Ashtar indicates a sectarian angle to the attack. Look up Malik Al Ashtar. We need to destroy the hundreds of violent psychopathic private sectarian armies involved in bloodletting for peace to have a chance in this sad country of ours.
Mr. Pakshock In recent days armed robberies and targeted killings in Lahore have become very common. It resembles the environment of Karachi where the agencies are still active pitching one party against the other. My comment was the PML N should stay away from controversial decisions such as the trial of a retired chief of the army staff who has a substantial following in the army. There is no doubt that the army will defend one of their own. PML N should focus on more immediate issues.
@AliKuliKhan: @Syed A. Mateen: Your comments could not have been better but mentioning, blaming and comparing the crime of another city proved it ust so predictably typical of us that I just lost all interest. When are we going to ever realize & logically assess our own shortcomings before pointing fingers at others. I mean why do we always say: The robbers came from another town; the disease came from another city, such and such happened because of the people of another language, area, ethnicity etc? Think for a moment: If everybody say that how would we ever get to the bottom of the issue? Let's say: Even if Punjabi Taliban bomb & kill in Karachi does that mean authorities their should sit back after tagging Punjab or KPk? If they can successfuly trace back the criminals to his house anywhere in Punjab why shouldn't we do that too instead of closing the book after blaming the camera or the involvement of "foreign hand"?
Guys read complete story. Culprits are caught. Dont bring karachi and lahore rivalry in this.
Ali kuli,s short comments speak volumes,it is ironic if not disgraceful that the so called agencies which owe their continuing existence to ordinary citizens of this country, who pay taxes to fund the salaries, equipment and other perks of the agencies personnel, should have the audacity to kidnap, injur, kill and intimidate their patrons and suppliants.if PML N leadership has an iota of courage and given their heavy mandate in the recent elections, they have an obligation to summarily shut down this criminal, underground, overt and covert agency set up in this country and begin to rely on regular enforcement agencies, such as police and Totally overweight Pak Army to address the current law and order upheavals in this geography.a highly concerned senior citizen of Pakistan
The game being played in Karachi has found its way to Lahore. This is just the beginning. PML-N should avoid getting into conflict with agencies.
Whatever is happening in the various cities of Pakistan is really unfortunate for the progress of the country.
Our security agencies must unearth the culprits and apprehend them as soon as possible.
If the cameras installed on the roads of Karachi are not working, at least the cameras should be working in Lahore.
The entire country should have net work of cameras to identity the culprits as from which hideouts they are coming out, where they are going and to whom they are attacking.
Let the games begin...Boom Boom
