The police said that the incident occurred when a police team raided a drug den in Haji Mureed Goth.
The injured officials included DSP Najamul Hassan, assistant sub-inspector Nasir Abbas and constable Akram.
All three men were immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors termed their condition to be stable.
Following the incident a large contingent of police and Rangers cordoned off the area and started a search operation in the vicinity.
At least three suspects were arrested and shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
