Murder: Two granted bail in sessions court shootout

The bail was granted against bail bonds of Rs100,000 each.

An Anti Terrorism Court on Wednesday granted pre-arrest bail to two people accused of abetting the murder of two men on the sessions court premises.


The judge also summoned the complainant and police records of the case on June 29.

The bail was granted against bail bonds of Rs100,000 each.

On June 15, two murder suspects were shot dead and another injured in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Sadiq Masood Sabir. Jamaat Ali, Nisar Ahmed, Rizwan Ali and Muhammad Arshad, who were on bail, had entered the court room to attend the trial when a man shot at them. Jamaat Ali and Ahmed were killed and Rizwan Ali and Arshad were injured.

Sughran Bibi, sister of the deceased men, had filed an FIR under Sections 302, 324, 148, 149, 109 and 7ATA against Shahbaz, Nawaz, Liaquat, Sharif and Waqar, among others.
