Fight against drugs is a shared responsibility both globally and domestically and it could be overcome only through cooperation among nations.

Director-General Anti-Narcotics Force Major-General Malik Zafar Iqbal said this at a ceremony on occasion of the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”, here on Wednesday.

“We are fully aware of its harmful effects and determined to rid the country of the menace,” he said.

“Today, approximately 121 tons of narcotics were destroyed at four different cities including Quetta, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad,” he said.
