KARACHI: The business community of Balochistan has urged the provincial and federal governments to take them on board as major stakeholders in formulating measures for economic prosperity and development in the province.

The presented their demands during a meeting of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Quetta, according to a statement released by the FPCCI.

The meeting noted that Balochistan is rich in mineral resources but these need to be utilised appropriately for the socioeconomic uplift of the province.

There is no processing zone in the province, the delegation complained, while other provinces have these facilities and sell mineral products from Balochistan at whole sale prices.
