Speaking on the assembly floor, Khattak said that some friends sitting in the assembly were circulating the news. He said he later realised that it was not proper to use it (the helicopter), and asked his secretary to pay the bill.
Dilating the details surrounding the use of helicopter, Khattak said that they had earlier planned to travel to Haripur by road. However, due to a meeting with World Food Programme executive director he had to use it.
The Chief Minister also regretted that no one had ever paid attention to use of this helicopter in the past, however, now cartoons are being made and it was news on TV.
Khattak maintained that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government in K-P will bring a change and people will be able to see it.
On Tuesday, the PTI chief Imran Khan took notice of Khattak's helicopter use and restricted him from using the service again.

Pervez Khattak should not have been chosen as the CM of KP. Asad Qaiser or any other new face would have been a better choice. Symbolically, too, it would have been better.

This is the change PTI has promised :-)
We Love you IK
great example
How come a "middle class" person afford to travel by helicopters?? Comeon Mr Khattak, stop fooling us!! Your track record of swinging political parties (PPP, Sherpao, ANP, PTI) and nepotism by inducting 3 women family members against reserved seats. We know that you had lost the intra-party elections but still were made Chief Ministr because of your former school days association with PTI's Lifetime Chairman Imran Khan Niazi.
@Waqas Ahmed:
Trust me bro, insaf.pk is an epitome of a joke. I would rather get some comical relief by visiting some typical Pakistani Matrimonial site. Besides, I have been following the details of assets of PTI's leadership posted on this site for almost two years now and the mods there have not even bothered to put up updated asset declaration of PTI's functionaries. BTW, you might want to check ilzam.pk again, Parvez Khattak's assets declaration are not put up there.
@Adnan Siddiqi: His assets are given on PTI's website insaf.pk, with all the details of his source of income.
We must appreciate the CM. he will not use official helicopter for private functions. A good example for other CMs to follow.
@Ali: He didn't have t pay tax because his constituency had been exempt from tax by the government for the past few years. You need to do research and then blame him for not paying tax!
According to German story, When German Social Security Inspectors imposed heavy fine on Pakistani Students upon placed the heavy meal order. The word of the German Officer "Money is your property, while Resource is for all. If u hold the excess money than spent it in creative manner. Do not try to destroy our society"
@Ali: The place where he lives was exempted of taxes due to floods by ur own federal govt. Plz check and then double check before u speak.
@cynics he is not paying coz he is "oh so opulent" but it is to make amends. Symbolic.
@H. Khan: All KP members have been tax exempt for the last 3 yrs. Ab Bol!!
If every one will start thing in this way, Pakistan can save a lot of money which is been wasted by the VIP movements.
"we want change" "we want change" "we want change" this was the salogan i have seen many time youths were written on the play cards befor election 2013 in PTI ghathrings was it the change the were demanding and strugling for to attend a usuall marriage ceremony using the public proprty.... and i think it is just a lamn excuess to say that he paid the amoun from his own pocket just robbish..
Focus PTI Focus...........Peace Health and Education .........Priorities of PTI in KPK according to election campaign.........Do you know why Pushtuns rejected their own(ethnicity wise), despite the fact Pushtuns are very ethnic centric because their old leaders like Asfandyar took a flight to US didnt stay with his ppl...IK should visit more often and visit the suffering families of terrorist attacks,,,,,,,My appeal to PTI stand with the ppl to avoid losing your stand in KPK ....Try to deliver Pushtuns will help you in showing the rest of Pakistan what a Naya Pakistan means ........The people will start following the merit system ....if they truly believe you are doing the same......if you dont deliver they are very cruel.... will throw you out like they did with PPP PML-N MMA ANP
@Ali: @Ali: Brother. Correct your info. He belongs to Nowshera. which was affected by flood in 2010 and govt. Waived all taxes for the people of Nowshera for 2011-2012. Please go and chk it of your own. This is the reason his tax returns are zero for those 2 years.
So you have money to pay the bill from pocket but still not enough money to pay any taxes? I on the other hand can just afford a second-hand car but still have to pay taxes.
Does this mean that ET"s orgasm came to an end???
Nice Joke,
@ozair: Bradharm ! I accept your point at its face value, however probably you know better than me, and leave aside elders, our kids are suffering, because our doctors are fake, our medications are fake - adulterated. we all care less about others, myself included. Ozair, these CM, president and PM are suppose to act like elder brothers and fathers. Be honest do they give you that sense? Now about Heli Bill, there are many who can afford, and one should use it in an emergency i.e SICKNESS. but why not managing time wisely and spend such bill money to pay to provide drinking water to kids of, Say Baluchistan or any other part of Pakistan, provide better schooling to our kids. That was my point. and YES thank you for helping me to be bit more human.
@Adnan Siddiqi: Boss. Just chk my earlier comment. He is a contractor outside KPK and his son runs this with thim. I dont know whether he is continuing with that or not as off now. And one more thing. I have voted for PTI and i am more concerned than you regarding what they are doing and will make them accountable in the next elections if they will not prove themselves. So atleast we have so much vision that we can think about performance and issues resolved by the ones who we voted. Not like PML-N voters who have elected them without any vision .issues that were resolved were not priority issues by CM Punjab. Electricity, Health, Law, education, which issue CM punjab had resolved. You will eat metro bus ?????.
Insanity ! Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the different result. Albert Einstein
My beloved Chief Minister Khattak, I don't believe you. You should put the receipt of the helicopter bill on KPK government website along with "asasajat".
@Lmao:
He is in real estate and he is a contractor! Isn't he suppose to detach himself from all such professional activities while discharging his public responsibilities so as to avoid conflict of interest? Wait wait wait wait.......my bad, this is CHANGE!!!
Twitter, will now be used as an executive instrument by IK. Another first by PTI. WOW. Chief Minister gets scolded. WOW and HOW: VIA TWITTER.
@Adnan Siddiqi: He is in real state.. So you can imagine the amunt of money he has
LOLZ...each time he takes a heli-ride, where is he going to pay......IK please inquire source of money in the account.
If Mr. Khattak can not pay taxes( according to FBR) how can he pay for a helicopter bill, I wonder.
@Umer: if you don't like contributing towards a great cause please don't. you are free to contribute to bisp or metro bus instead if you think it makes our lives better.
The governments are made to rule and they are doing the same thing, what else is wrong in it. The voters have shown confidence, than why other people are jealous with them. Khatak do what ever you want, voters are with you. Dont pay the bill from your own pocket, Be A True CM, not a servant to IK and media
@expaki: He is a contractor who builds buildings outside KPK. I think this is more than enough to justify how he can manage this. And the bill is not too much. Even if you use a plane for the whole day, it will cost you around 7-10 lakh. For helicopter it should not be more than 1-2 lakh. I think he committed a mistake by using the helicopter, but its good that our politician can correct anything if anyone points that. This is what we call change.
This is rarity indeed and I wish that your Media splashes it across as the headline! I salute this personality.
Our ministers in Germany often come under criticism from the media( certainly not from their party leaders or the Prime minister, as this would be culturaly not acceptable) and this is explained and jusified on the basis of urgency. No political figure in Europe will ever volunteer to pay from their pockets.
Rex Minor
kpk people has nothing to do with the transport of cheif minister whether helicopter or car.we want peace and end of terrorism.sorry to say i am feeling that all the effors of pti is to show modesty and nothing else.imran khan has not once visited the recent terror victims but took notice of helicopter.shame on the so called revolutionary party
@Shaami: He used private jets when he was still a 'private' citizen. Not in power. Not spending tax payer money. Stop trying to malign a guy just because you don't like him. There are plenty of other valid things that you can criticize IK on.
mr. sharif, if you have any shame left in you will please pay all your outstanding electricity bills for ittefaq mills? its pretty staggering amount you know. also all your unpaid bank loans and taxes. i know for sure that you won't but just wanted to rub it in in front of your party trolls... hehe...
Its about time that the KPK Government implement the holistic edict of its erstwhile Chairman and immediately declare the assets of every functionary of KPK Government, including its turncoat CM. We want to deduce ourselves as to how much Pervez Khattak is worth and how much he has paid in taxes. Anything less than this would be considered just a fairy tale which is only a source of levitation for the cult worshipers and trolls of Deen-e-Imrani.
Why doesn't Imran Khan ask him to pay for Shaukat Khanam Hospital in Peshawar instead of asking the poor public?
What are his sources of income? Also is he entitled to use the helicopter for personal business, paid or not?
Very great move by pervaiz khattak of rectifying his mistake on demand of his leader .PTI is setting great example for lunderers and looters.PPP and PMl n corrupt should get lesson you cannot spendthrift on nation wealth or Tax.As people selected and honored you to serve them you should reward them.thats democracy ...PTI zindabad
OMG PTI leaders are such hypocrites. In the headline Pervez Khattak says he paid the bill from his pocket but in the article he says he ordered his secretary to pay the bill. This proves that Imran Khan's slogans of CHANGE were just slogans and PTI has failed to deliver in KPK. Where is change Mr Imran Khan? huh.
@expaki:
Well its actually on record that Pervez Khattak is a tax defaulter. Who knows, the money which he was able to conceal from FBR is now being used to fund such junkets and helicopter rides on valima parties.
You can take the man out of corruption but you cant take the corruption out of the man.
Hahaha. poor ktk! :P
PTI DO SOMETHING for KP!!!
@Adnan Siddiqi: "IK should ask his own CM as to what his source of income is which allows him to be so ostentatious and opulent" Adnan !! on your this point I am absolutely agree and DEMAND from Imran to tell each and every voter, how his cm was able to pay the bill? If his declared income justifies his this EXTRA ORDINARY ETHICAL SHOW, then I will be first to apologize. Till and in absence of such clarification, I consider it was STOLEN MONEY.
@me: "So what about the cost of whole distric police which was securing him? " *
But Imran Khan himself travel in Private jets. So what about that then?? Here is a recent report by ET. Imran Khan travelled to 69 cities in Private jets during elections and after elections as well he is getting their services. http://tribune.com.pk/story/566528/election-year-to-help-princely-jets-post-first-profits/
why is that a wrong thing? if it was being used for the benefit of the country, by all means use it. it's not much of an overhead!
Total non-sense, a Chief Minister time is far more valuable than using a helicopter. What about all the expenses of road travel for a CM, security cost, time cost for all security personnel. This is more like a publicity stunt to not use a heli.
To all PTI trolls, he said LATER he decided to pay himself, his original plan was to have it paid by taxpayers money. If media hadn't highlighted it then it would have been done so too.
Mr CM, records show you did not pay taxes. So where did the money come from?
@me: What about the cost of the 1200 policemen at Raiwind?
@me: Can you ever appreciate something? - like - ever?
And can you please check the tax returns of this man who paid no taxes in last two years but pays the helicopter bills to go to weddings
When Imran Khan said he will manage everybody on his team & that they will follow rules - he meant it (though cynics doubted it). Today Imran Khan has turned the same status-quo politician Khattak into a person who is accountable to the public & the party. Also PTI is the only party where its supporters - trolls as cynics call them - raised voice against the unethical step of their own CM. This is the CHANGE Imran Khan promised & this is what youth believed in. He didn't claim he would make his party's MNAs/MPAs/CM angels (free of sins) but would hold them accountable & make them follow rules - here is an example for all to see. Good luck Khattak Sb and love you Imran Khan.
So what about the cost of whole distric police which was securing him?
ET back to senses
There is no doubt on Imran's sincerity and commitment to serve nation. Performance of PTI government will decide their future in Pakistani politics. If they will not show difference from there precedent, they will then disappoint the nation. It is laudable that Mr Khattak will pay bill from his pocket but will he pay for his new 10 advisers???
Buhahahahahahahahaha!!! And I was born yesterday and that too in Shikarpur. If he ends up paying such an exorbitant bill out of his own pocket, IK should ask his own CM as to what his source of income is which allows him to be so ostentatious and opulent.
Well done man. we proud on pti
