Yasir cruises in ranking tennis final

Yasir Khan sails into final of Talent Hunt Ranking Tennis Championship after outclassing Nameer Shamsi.

KARACHI: Top-seed Yasir Khan sailed into the final of the Talent Hunt Ranking Tennis Championship after outclassing Nameer Shamsi in straight sets.

Khan, who made his Davis Cup debut earlier this year, faced little difficulty in outsmarting Shamsi 6-0, 6-3 to confirm his place in the final where he will play the winner of second semi-final between Umer Shahid and Umer Usman, a match to be played late Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, Talha Zubair entered the final of boys U-15 event final following an 8-6 win over Malik Hamza in the pre-final of the competition.

The duo of Murad Khan and Aqeel Khan junior defeated the pair of Azhar and Abdul Qadir 8-2 to book a place in boys U-15 doubles finals.
