Young Blood win despite two red cards

KARACHI: Young Blood held their nerves well to register a narrow 2-1 win over PMC Athletico Club after two of their players were sent off in a Pakistan Premier League in Faisalabad yesterday.

Down to nine players in the final seven minutes, Young Blood who led 2-0 at the interval, showed great defence in front of the PMC strikers after their captain Haroon Yousuf reduced the deficit through an 83rd minute spot-kick.

Amir Yakoob was the first to be shown red in the 82nd minute with Zain Khalid getting  marching orders a minute later.

Earlier, the winners played aggressively in the first half to take the lead through striker Asim Mansoor and midfielder Abid Hussain who found the target in 15th and 24th minutes.
