
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday accepted bail request for Javed Khan, a budget officer at Peshawar’s central police office, earlier arrested for his alleged involvement the arms scandal.
Khan’s counsel, Aminur Rehman, argued his client had been in NAB’s custody since the scam surfaced, adding the bureau had failed to file a reference against his client despite having him in custody.
The PHC accepted the application and issued a notice against NAB’s provincial director general seeking his reply in this regard.
