Musharraf’s Trial: Gilani wants abettors in the dock

He said that the Parliament was supreme because it reflected the will of the people.

MULTAN: Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, while commenting on the government decision to proceed against General Musharraf under article 6 of the Constitution for imposing emergency in November 2007, said that those should also be brought in the dock who endorsed the actions of similar nature of successive dictators in the past.

He said that the Parliament was supreme because it reflected the will of the people.

He favored opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah’s demand that the Parliament should also pass a resolution for the removal of portraits of dictators from the Parliament, PM and President Houses.
