Three years later: Man arrested for rape, murder

SIALKOT: A man suspected of raping and murdering a 14-year-old girl was arrested on Sunday, three years after the incident.

In May 2013, the Supreme Court had ordered the district police officer to ensure that the murderer was arrested as soon as possible. The police had sought time till June 24. Police claimed on Sunday that the man had confessed to the crime. He told police he had buried the girl in the abandoned mansion house where he had raped her.
