Eight people were injured when two vehicles collided on the Indus Highway in Karak district Friday morning.
Takht Nusrati police official Sar Muhammad said the car was en route to Karak while the coaster was on its way to Peshawar from DI Khan when the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the coaster near Khada Algada at around 10am.
The official said locals shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital before the police arrived on the spot. Two passengers, identified as Sar Zamin Khan and Liaqat, were taken to Lady Reading Hospital due to their critical condition.
The police later impounded both vehicles and registered a case against the car’s driver, who tried to escape but was nabbed by locals and handed over to the police.
