Fiscal affairs: Dist Council Karachi budget announced

The Karachi Commissioner presented the budget for this year of over Rs2.45 billion on Friday.

KARACHI: The Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has presented the budget for this year of over Rs2.45 billion on Friday. The commissioner, while presiding over the budget meeting, said that the council was the first to present the budget among all the councils and corporations across Sindh. He stated that Rs12.6 million was surplus budget and they were making special efforts to make sure there was no extra burden over people. He added that over Rs1 billion were allocated for development projects.
