Imran, who earlier in the week took oath as a member of the parliament, was, like all MNAs, allotted a flat in the Parliament Lodges where parliamentarians are provided residence.
Following the footsteps of their party chief, PTI’s other MNAs, who have residencies in Islamabad, have also decided not to avail the flats. The move was confirmed by PTI MNA Shireen Mazari.
IK never asked 4 a parl lodge. He was alloted one & he refused saying he had a house in Isl. None of us in PTI living in Isl asked 4 lodge!

According to an official party statement, PTI MNAs will follow a collective policy where all PTI parliamentarians will neither use the allotted flats, nor accept fare allowances for rented residences.
The statement explained that the PTI does not intend to burden the exchequer by getting money in shape of house rents.

We appreciate this act of PTI, but still a long way to go to prove PTI is sincere about change. No matter who are writing and think against this, there are enough people still in Pakistan community who think and speak against Quaid-e-Azam too. But lets hope for the best from the Imran Khan and i am sure the BEST still to come, Lets wait and see.
Copy cats now copy it.
I am a bit confused. Either all PTI members have houses in ISB so they dont need the residence that means all are filthy rich or else if they arent then a common person coming to Islamabad on his own expense will not live in lodges.. hmmm where will he live then? Camp outside?
Who cares? We want to know what pti is doing about these terrorists killing innocents everyday. More talks?
By the way our nation is obsessed with these signs of humbleness. Wear a torn shirt and sit on the ground and announce your self-proclaimed piety and simple lifestyle to the gullible people and they will die head over heels for you. It is all show-off. For your kind information I know the leader of a political party who has formed a government in one of the provinces of Pakistan and this leader himself takes the "belcha" and works like a "mazdoor" with mazdoor's when it is required to do so. Never has he gone for cheap popularity like PTI does.
hmmm shift your offices to your homes and then get rebates in gas/electricity/telephone bills, and have official police and security guards at your own homes on tax-payer expenses. Why doesn't Imran Khan turn his own home to a university and instead shift to the small parliament lodges? Parliament lodges are not a 5 star hotel, they are simple flats.
I thought it was already a rule that if you own a house in ISB or Rawalpindi area, you can't have a residence at parliament lodges. If there isn't one, that should be the case anyway.
Another lesson to learn for PML-N and other plundering parties.
I think, it says its for the MNA's who have homes in Islamabad. I don't think it applies to the ones who can't afford to stay in Islamabad otherwise.
@Dr.Khalid: There is no directive from the PTI leadership. Imran Khan set an example and the PTI MNA's are choosing to follow. I wouldn't hold it against a poor representative if he/she took the facility.
Topi Drama as usual by PTI.
Tabdeeli aa nahi rahi, Tabdeeli agayi hai. The media can keep maligning PTI, but it's not who you are underneath but what you do that defines you.
Appreciated. But PTI somehow needs to find a solution to terrorism that is creating havoc in KPK. I am sure that if that's fixed, they will lead the province in an exemplary way.
Great.
obviously if you live in isl you don't want the substandard parliament lodges, who are you trying to fool
Brainless PTI bashers, what have you got to say now? I'm sure that with your biased mindsets you will find nothing but fault with this too. What a silly country we are!
We wont avail official residences: we will just live in our rich villas.
Now thats what we love about selfless and greed free intellectuals! Luv ya IK, you always set an example
How about the the parliamentarians from far flung areas and being poor at the same time?
I am proud to be a supporter of PTI.
Good decision...
