GUJRANWALA: A magistrate on Friday sent a 12-year-old boy, who had shot dead a hand-cuffed man on sessions court premises on Thursday, on a one-day physical remand.

The deceased, who was being escorted to the court for possession of illegal weapons, was also accused of shooting the boy’s father.  The boy was arrested on the spot. Civil Lines police presented him before an anti terrorism court on Friday. The public prosecutor objected that the boy had been produced without an inspector of the joint investigation team. The boy was later produced before a magistrate. Police said the boy had yet to identify the Pashto-speaking man, who he had told police, had sold him the pistol. He had said that the man had also trained him in how to use it.
