‘For eve-teasing’: Three arrested for setting boy ablaze
Witnesses said the boy jumped into a nearby well to save his life.

Three of the six people named for setting a 16-year-old-by on fire on Thursday in Mash Ranjha village were arrested here on Friday.
Police said the suspects- identified as Zafar Iqbal, Asif and Imran- had accused him of teasing their sister. They said on Thursday, they and their three accomplices caught him on his way home and set him on fire. Witnesses said the boy jumped into a nearby well to save his life. He was later pulled out by some passers-by and taken to the district headquarters hospital.
Doctors treating him said he had 50 per cent burns.
They said he was unable to record his statement. His parents told police that the same boys had beaten him up the day before. They also said some influential men in the village were pressing them to withdraw the complaint.
