I want to thank Zakir Thaver, Omar Vandal for taking so much time, effort to make a documentary about the man’s life.
TOPEKA, KANSAS, USA: This is with reference to the story “The journey to documenting Abdus Salam” (June 21). It makes me immensely proud that we still have people in Pakistan, who care about the man considered as an icon in the global scientific community. When I was growing up in Mardan, we considered Dr Abdus Salam our hero; there was no stigma attached to him of being an Ahmadi, because for us, he was a Pakistani who had done the country proud and some of my classmates even dreamed to follow in his footsteps.
I want to thank Zakir Thaver and Omar Vandal for taking so much time and effort to make a documentary about the great man’s life. Kudos to both of them.
