Wardens and security officials asked for a total bribe amount of Rs1500; Rs700 when he tried to enter and the rest when he tried to leave.
All prison officials apologised when they finally recognised the minister but Arain went on to suspend the entire jail staff.

@Basha Ahmed: because in Islam, anyone taking or giving bribe is KHANZEER? in that case, one sees the HERDS of Khanzeers at all airports of Pakistan to start with.
Good job Sir! A large majority of Pakistanis consider PMLN as their saviours and you will deliver good governance InshaAllah. Other provincial governments too should follow this example.
Well done. Keep it up. Thank you for fulfilling family' expectations.
@Basha Ahmed: No Muslims will ever say something so stupid, are you a non-Muslims in the guise of Muslims?
Just another example of why the Punjab is the most well governed province in the country. Keep up the good work.
@ss: ????????? Its 21 June, 2013 not 11 May.
Good job minister, and it HAS TO BE SAID, THANKS IK.......
No Muslims will ever take bribe, they are non-Muslims in the guise of Muslims.
Mr. Arain, please don't concentrate on the small fish, try to catch the loan-defaulters, electricity & gas thieves, smugglers, tax-evaders and other such worthy citizens who are relatives of ruling party parliamentarians. If you even talk about arresting the tax thieves in Liberty Market, you'll lose your job!
Prison minister? Do we really need a separate minister for prison??
@ss:
Lollzzzz! After the blast in Peshawar today, a PTI provisional minister stated on air that it was only a suicide bombing and heavens have not fallen!
You might want to thank IK too for this brand of NAYA Pakistan in KPK :-P
That's what you expect from a PML-N government headed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif!! Proud of the party and our leader....Two thumbs up.
Thank you IK!!
Great. This definitely will stop corruption.
Good for you Sir, Now go for the big fish, then you will really deserve a pat on your back.
Did they return the money back to minister?
PMLN Well done!!! I am really Proud to be one of the Millions of voters and supporters of PMLN.
I think it is just a stunt by the minister to gain attention. Things cannot be changed by such stunts. They need to implement reforms at gross root level to eliminate corruption. Suspending policemen is not the solution.To develop them to serve people is the real solution.
Hoohohoohohohaaaaa
Well Done Waheed Sb. You make us proud of PML N.
Mr. Minister Sir, Truly appreciate your move.. Will you please answer just one question from one of Pak's Citizens:
How many jails' staff do you plan to fire in this manner?..... just a food for thought...
The lower echelons in any organization depend on the higher ups for their ideology, its the trickle down effect that matters, not 'trickle up'... it would be better if some sort of higher level cleansing accompanies this initiative...
Very Well Done Sir! Kudos to you & now just make sure they don't rejoin on the Parchi again. No wonder Criminals across the Country are running their activities from inside the Prisons where no one can touch them & they keep invoved in the Criminal activiites without any problem!
Awesome job by Minister. Kudos sir :)
