Postings: Nadeem Hasan Asif appointed new CDA chairman

Asif is stated to be very close to the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, according to establishment sources.

The government on Thursday appointed Nadeem Hasan Asif, a Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) BS-21 officer, as the new Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman.


Asif is stated to be very close to the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, according to establishment sources.

He had earlier served as principal secretary to the Punjab chief minister, and as the province’s home and health secretary.

Tahir Shahbaz, who assumed the office of CDA chairman on October 2, 2012, has been appointed as the Cabinet Division’s additional secretary. During Pakistan Muslim League — Nawaz’s government’s previous tenure in 1997-99, Asif had served as Lahore Deputy Commissioner.

Meanwhile, there were other notable transfers and new postings. Human Rights Secretary Shaigan Sharif Malik has been posted as Capital Administration and Development secretary,

Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Aftab Anwer Baloch to the Federal Board of Revenue, a BS-21 Officer Shahid Mehmood to Finance Division Additional Secretary, Communication Additional Secretary Saifullah Chatta to Finance Division Senior Joint Secretary, Shamshad Waseem to SAFRON Deputy Secretary and a BS-18 Officer Taseer Jamal awaiting a posting in the Establishment Division has been transferred to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
