FAISALABAD: The doctor, who had issued a death certificate for a living child at the Allied Hospital on Tuesday, was suspended from work on Thursday. Medical Superintendent Rashid Maqbool said the hospital had also issued show cause notices to Dr Shumaila and Dr Nazia for declaring the child, dead. These doctors had pronounced a one-and-a-half-year-old child dead, who was admitted in the children’s ward since June 10. The child is still in the intensive care unit. The family found the child alive in an ambulance on their way back from hospital after the ‘body’ and the death certificate were handed over to them. The child was brought back to the hospital and has since then been in ICU.
