Peshawar’s Shehzad Danial won the Inter-District Squash Championship, defeating Swat’s Mohammad Danish 3-0 in the final yesterday.
The event, organised by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association, was contested by eight districts which included Abottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Swat, Bannu, Kohat and Tank.
The U11 championship was won by Peshawar’s Uzair Khan who defeated Ahmed Gul in straight games.
Pakistan Air Force spokesman Air Commodore Tariq Mehmood said that such tournaments would help unearth raw talent from far flung areas and appreciated the efforts of the organisers.
